Poonch is one of the 8 districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, an administrative division of Pakistan. Its capital is Rawalakot, the district is bordered by Kashmir and its major tribes are the Sudhan and Awan tribes. The Poonch fort which dates back to the 16th century A.D, the Poonch Qila which was built by Raja Rustum Khan in 1713 AD are some Poonch’s architectural beauties. Gurudwara Nangali Sahib which is one of the oldest Sikh shrine in northern india, the Swami Budha Amarnath Ji Mandir, a temple located between the Pir Panchal Range on the confluence of two streams namely Nallah Gagri and Pulsta Nadi, the temple is made of a big stone. Other attractions are the Noor-e-Chamb Waterfall, Surankote Valley, Krishna Ghati, Ziarat Sain and Nandishool waterfall.
